I love Common Craft’s “In Plain English” series. They have done videos on a number of different topics and have even started addressing basic financial topics. While I wasn’t going to cover this topic, their approach is similar to what I have had planned for finances. I’d better get going before they cover everything I want to cover—or maybe I should just wait for them to cover it all and tell you where to find it. Hmm…
Check out this video on saving and compound interest.
This is one of my favorites. Aside from addressing a relevant topic, and in spite of Steve Martin’s poor acting, you can’t beat the common sense or the line, “Yeah, we can put it on our credit card.”
In lieu of the usual post, I’ve spent my time this week redesigning the site. If you are already at the site, this is obvious. If you aren’t already at the site, here’s your alert. I don’t want you arriving and feeling lost.
Hopefully this makes the content cleaner and easier to look at. Plus, I wanted to see how it works to change to a new theme. It wasn’t too bad and would have been extremely easy, if I didn’t have a bunch of customized elements and Wordpress had a way to move widgets from one column to another without losing everything. All-in-all, not too bad of an experience.
I hope you enjoy the change. If you miss my picture too much, I’ll see if I can find a place to add it.
